Privacy Policy

Effective 20 October 2026 · Applies to the Curious Snips Chrome extension

Curious Snips lets support teams type a short shortcut, such as /hi, and insert a saved reply in any text box. This policy explains what the extension stores, where, and why.

In short

1What we store on our server

When you sign in, these are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase in Mumbai, India:

DataWhy
Your email address and password (the password is stored only as a secure hash)To sign you in and to match you to the team that invited you
Replies, folders and the trash, with who created or last edited each oneSo everyone in your team gets the same, up-to-date library
App details you enter (name, review link, help link, support email, refund days, page-address rules)To fill those details into replies
Team members’ emails and rolesTo decide who can use and who can edit the library
How many times each person inserted each reply, and whenFor the Usage page your team sees

2What stays on your computer only

3Who can see your data

Only the members of your workspace can see its replies, apps, team list and usage. Replies saved in My replies are visible only to the person who made them. Viewers can read but not change anything; editors, admins and owners can change the library; only owners and admins can manage the team. These rules are enforced on the server.

Our hosting provider, Supabase, processes the data on our behalf to run the database and sign-in. We don’t share data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

4What we don’t do

Curious Snips’s use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5How long we keep it

Library data stays until someone in your team deletes it. Deleted replies stay in the trash for 30 days, then are removed. When an admin removes you from a team, your access ends at your next sync. Signing out removes the team’s replies from your computer.

6Your choices

7Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access rules on the server limit each person to their own workspace and role.
